David Stern protecting refs

Posted by: Kevin on November 28th, 2010

Why is it that an official can literally get away with anything, and David Stern will not only ignore it, but he will fine anyone who mentions it?  Stern says he wants to add respect for the game, when in reality, he needs to show a little respect himself.

For anyone who didn’t hear, Byron Scott got fined 35K for saying his team was playing against 8 players in Orlando. Jazz fans certainly know the feeling

also add 3 tech on us today

  3. Those techincals….ridiculous.

It just worries me because this league could easily become like professional wrestling in no time. If people in charge have no checks and balances, they can quickly destroy using their power. Especially in a time of extreme greed. Stern could easily guide the playoffs to whatever teams will provide the highest ratings, and if anyone says boo, they are slapped with a hefty fine.

  5. There is no consistency with the new tech rule. One game will seem like it is governed without the new rule and then the next game, well it ends up like the game with the clippers. A little consistency would be nice.

Totally agree. I actually wouldn’t be surprised to find that this has already been going on for a long time.

I wouldn’t be surprised either. I hate to admit it, but some games totally feels like it’s happening. Even when it doesn’t involve the Jazz

Agreed. “David Stern and the Ref’s” is my least favorite team in the league!
