The young guys?

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.

The title may be a little confusing but I was just asking how talented you think our young guys will be I’ll start off.

  1. Derrick Favors future all star could be one of the better players in the nba
  2. Alec Burks another all star, the next T mac.
  3. Gordon Hayward Borderline allstar, kind of like Andre Iggy
  4. Enes Kanter unknown
  5. Jeremy Evans 10 best man on roster
  6. Demarre Caroll 11 man on the team

  1. I would say Burks will be more of a Wade/Kobe but in a James Harden role:

Heres my comparisons for how good I think they will be.

1 Derrick Favors – Dwight Howard. Yes, I really believe that Favors can still have a Dwight level of play. He is almost identical in this physical qualities and put up the same numbers as Dwightin his early years if you take into account he only played limited minutes.

2 Alec Burks – Better version of jamal Crawford. nothing to say here, haven’t seen him play too much.

3 Enes Kanter – Joakim Noah. Great rebounder great defender, and maybe a little better at offense.

4 Gordon Hayward – Manu Ginobili. Excellent basketball IQ underrated athlete and defender. Great all around player that does a little bit of everthing.

5 Kevin Murphy- Unknown, but he can score

Now obviously these are all best case scenario comparisons.

I agree with all of your assessments except Burks. I see him as more of a starter/6th man role. I really don’t see him becoming an all-star. I know that’s probably not a popular opinion in this site, but he just doesn’t do enough on the floor without the ball in his hands for me to see him becoming an all-star. Don’t get me wrong I love his game and think he will be a great player, I just don’t see all-star potential. I would love to be proven wrong.
