Dont like it. I view him as a backup C and in my opinion that is also what Kanter is for the time being. Kanter will eventually start but the timing isnt quite right.
Blair is a hussle guy, but showed he wasn’t needed by the spurs. His contract is next to nothing so he’s someone you could get a lot of value out of, but he’s undersized and for now we have plenty at that position. If we lose Millsap for some reason and wanted another decent backup to come in and bowl people down I think you take him, but I want to see evans on the court not balir because he’s such a good guy! Oh and he can fly, which is really cool!
I did not know he was a center he was listed at 6 foot 7 on the spurs website I thought maybe he could be the backup Power Forward.
Jeremy Evans would still get minutes with a rotation of Kanter and favors then Blair and Evans.
If the spurs don’t want him with how cheap he is the question is why? I’ve seen him play some good games though.
The spurs have alot of big man and already have their next guy in Splitter and they don’t have any plaing time for him so they where going to trade him.
He’s an inferior player to both Al and Paul.
He isn’t as good as Al or Paul, but if we moved one of them he is cheap and can give you quality minutes as a backup.
if the other piece was Kawhi Leonard then great. Would never work. Blair is completely mediocre and more undersized and less mobile than millsap. Al is in another league from Blair statistically. having Linsey as new GM is awesome for the relationships he has with teams that KOC doesnt. Spurs aint the only team he’s in with
