Meet
Danilo Gallinari

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz. Not a post. Just a question. Why aren’t people talking about AK for Gallinari? He would be a great fit. Denver wants to trade him.
To me this seems like a great course of action to pursue.
Thoughts?

I agree. If the jazz can make a move and get Gallinari from Denver that would save us a lot of money and allow for Denver to wipe AK’s salary off the books at the the end of the season, making him a free agent.
I hope to see the jazz do something before the trade dead-line, though I am unsure on who I would want to lose.
Not surprised at this point. Did you ever hear the Jazz being tossed around when it came to Rip, Prince, Mayo, Battier, etc. Either KOC is being real hush-hush about it all or they are doing nothing at all. I’m afraid it’s the latter…
AK for Gallinari … great idea but salary probably do not match at 80%. Somebody else must be thrown into he mill !
Gallinari is just a younger Memo, a big who never put his feet in the paint….. i don’t like these type of player
Agree with French Dude. I love Gall, and if we could bring him in while keeping Ak or guaranteeing him to come back I would do it. But no way in hell would I trade straight across. Gall doesn’t rebound, block shots or have the court vision that AK has. Ak wants to stay here more than anything….let him stay. Fans don’t give him the credit he deserves and realize what an impact he makes.
If Gall came to the Jazz he would be forced outside his game like Memo and be put into situations where he would have a hard time succeeding and probably get injured alot.
I’d do CJ miles for Gallnari. I think we really should resign AK at the end of the season and that would be difficult if we trade him. Thrown in a draft pick or something to sweeten the deal or FES or something and I think we got him.
I hate C.Js inconsitincy more than anyone, but noone loves this team more than he does along with AK and noone works harder to improve his game for the love of his team than C.J.
That’s a rare and dying quality in todays NBA. It’s a quality I would really like to keep in a Jazz uniform too
Yeah, AK is great for 4 million but not for 17. I’d like to think the Jazz will resign him for that amount if it wasn’t for the NJ owner wanting a piece of AK. So, what do you do? Cause I don’t think AK will be back when NJ throws an extra 4-5 mil at him per year. There are a ton of players out there being shopped for the right price and at this point, lets shake it up. Buddinger, Lee, Battier, Camby, Wallace, Jackson, Landry, etc are all available.
Because this Russian owner of the Nets has bottomless pockets I think he will pay AK more than the Jazz will offer just to have him. AK will be a FA in July. I would make a deal now..
Gallinari would be a good fit but there isn’t really anyone i’d like to give up that could be traded salary wise…
AK wants to re-sign here, he has stated it’s his home and his families home. I doubt he’d sign somewhere else for a few million dollars, he’s made his money i think he’ll re-sign here for a reasonable amount.
CJ: I’m a huge fan of CJ, in the past 3 seasons he’s gone from: Garbage Minutes to Backup role to Starter and putting up great numbers in the Playoffs. This year he’s putting up good numbers and is just inconsistent. He’s 24, and typically players hit their prime around 26/27 meaning next season he’ll be more consistent and same with the following seasons. You can’t work on a player for 6 seasons and get him to almost his peak than trade him. If he gets traded the Jazz will regret it in 2 years.
Could we trade AK for Gallinari then resign him similarly to what Cleveland did with Zydrunas Ilgauskas last year? I’m not quite sure how that works.
I Am David And No F#%@ This Trade What French Dude Said He is a younger player of The $$$$$ that never go inside and dunk that ball
But he IS starting to go to the line! 6.5 foul shots a game I believe. He is much much more athletic than memo ever was. The comparison is unwarranted.
