Jefferson and Bell are here, so are the Jazz done?

With the recent additions of Al Jefferson and Raja Bell, the Jazz roster is beginning to look very promising. Question is, are the Jazz done? Or does Kevin O’Connor still have something up his sleeve? I’ve heard rumors that KOC isn’t done yet, and is even looking at another potential big trade like the one for Jefferson. Such a trade would almost definitely have to include one of our remaining TE’s and players currently on our roster along with perhaps some draft picks. My guess is that such a trade won’t be happening until closer to the trade deadline and would include either CJ Miles or AK-47. I don’t think the Jazz are done this offseason, and think they will likely sign an extra big man to help out.

  1. Props to O’Connor, I was really doubting the Jazz after Boozer and Korver left. Then Matthews and it looked like the end of the season, let alone the offseason. Now the Jazz have jumped right back with AJ and Raja.

I think the actual point of discussion lays in signing Othyus Jeffers or adding a another free agent.

Trading AK in february will not be obvious, because you will have to find a team agreeing to swallow his contract … except if it’s like an exchange for … a guy like Melo ? I am sure he is thinking that re-signing to the nuggets is not a good plan !

There is one thing that “the decision” has changed: the superstars in the west should now group themselves in a single consistent team if they really want to win. Lakers and Mavericks are going to decline, the same for Suns. Oklahoma can be attractive, but they’ll need to face more tough games to be competitive. The jazz are playing the best basketball game in the NBA, they just need another star (impact player) at the SF/PF position.

As much as I would love to see Melo in Utah, it’s not gonna happen. I just don’t see SLC like his kind of town. But I could be wrong, it would be sweet to see that stupid grin in a Jazz jersey.

I am not really a Melo fan … but I think the guy became too selfish because he was told to be that way. He is still young, and if he wants to win something or simply cross another dimension (that of Kobe or Lebron or …), he will need a real basketball game organisation.
