What do we get?

Well, for better or for worse, the Deron Williams era has officially ended in Utah. I did not think it would end so soon, but at least D-Will was traded rather then leaving in a messy situation that would have had us hating on him for life. I don’t care what happened between him and Jerry or anything, but I guess the Millers and KOC felt that it was time to go. Good luck in Jersey D-Will! Least you’ll be close by…

Anywho, for arguably the best point guard in the league and one of the most complete players in the league, we get Devin Harris and Derrick Favors along with some draft picks.  Based on what I’ve watched from the Nets, Harris is a score first point guard who can’t shoot the three and struggles on defense. That may have had to do more with the Nets lack of offensive firepower during his tenure there, and I never really watched him play with the Mavs. He has upside and might do something. I doubt he’s a long term solution though. Favors is pretty much what we get in Jefferson but with higher upside considering he’s a rookie. He’s still extremely nervous on offense, as if he doesn’t know what to do yet. I sure hope we can help him develop his game.

Sad day for us Jazz fans, but I guess lets welcome Devin Harris and Derrick Favors in, who I will christen “D&D”, into Salt Lake. Now lets focus on a good season.
