Mo Williams- Looking for more minutes than his backup role in LA. Solid point guard that shoots 38% from downtown.
Jameer Nelson- I think we could pull him away because Stan Van Gundy was the only reason he liked to play in Orlando. Would want to shoot more 3’s than the Jazz have been, but we need someone that can shoot with confidence. More of a penetrate and dish point guard than Mo Williams. 38% career free throw shooter. Has played with a dominate defensive big man like Favors.
Both players have player options on their contracts though, so they would have to opt out.
Ray Allen- We need his veteran leadership and shooting so badly. Would be awesome if we could sign and trade for nelson and add Allen. That would be awesome.
Steve Novak- Knicks will chase him, but why would you want to play with such a ballhog in Carmelo that will not pass to you when you are wide open. Very affordable and the best spot up shooter in the league right now according to his 47% 3 point percentage. Whoo.
Ersan Ilyasova- Plays the stretch 4 or 3 very well, would fit into our rotation. A younger version of AK47. 45% 3 point shooter.
Trade-
If the Heat are ousted by the Pacers it might mean an end to their big 3. So why not Jefferson and Harris for Wade and Battier. This gives the Heat a scoring big man that they desperately need and a competent point guard that can run with the Heat’s fast paced attack and play off guard while Lebron handles the ball. We get back a legit star scorer and a lockdown perimeter defender. Win win.

I will take Novak or Williams. Good choice. Ilyasova for the right price would be great. I bet he is overpaid though. Not a fan of Dwyane Wade though.
I think Harris is just as good as Nelson or Mo Williams. I would rather keep Harris in that case. Upgrading the position is what Im hoping for. All in for Dragic or Nash. Novak, Batum, Allen,Ersan are also on my wish list. KOC work some more magic!
We would not have to give up harris for nelson or williams because they are free agents. Harris would move to 2 guard or back up pg.
If we could get Ilyasova that would be bomb plus he is from Turkey like another big we have. He would be a good fit but we need to defiantly get rid of bigs of that happens. Which would be fine by me!! Cause we could get other pieces which we need!
Every one like novak i would take erson over novak anyday of the week. At least he plays defence and gets rebounds. He has a 20 20 game novak couldnt do that at all
Ilyasova would be gold. I also add Eric Gordon to my wishlist. Preety sure he won’t want to stay in New Orleans. d-Wade is a nice pipe dream.
I think Mo is kind of pricey for what he is, not sure of Nelson’s $$$$.
I would also add Brandon Rush and Nicholas Batum. If we cant get Batum, at least make Portland pay a fortune for him
I agree with Disco that I’d put Eric Gordon at the top of my wish list. I think the Jazz have some flexibility to make that move work. He would be very solid for the future. I think he and Hayward would complement each other well on the wing. Plus they both have Gordon in their name.
I like Mo Williams, but I’m not as high on him as other PG’s that could potentially be available, namely Dragic or Lowry.
I listened to Locke’s hype about Ilyasova, he sounds like a great player on paper but I haven’t seen enough of him to know what he’s really like. I’m a fan of Novak and I’d also throw Brandon Rush in the mix for his outside shooting and under-rated defense.
Mo Williams is the guy. difficult it is, but he is.
Nelson would have to opt out. He has been said to want to because he does not want to be around and shipped to a bad team he wants options..
LOL
Mason, you obviously don’t know ANYTHING about the NBA if you think Dwayne Wade will play for the Jazz.
Seriouslly. Thiat’s just about the stupidest thing I’ve ever read on this forum.
Except for last year when people were suggesting a trade of CJ Miles and Raja Bell for Kevin love.
He would have to if we traded for him nick. It’s a contract. Do you think he would just retire? He has been nothing but loyal to miami even when they were they 8 seed. His knees are only going to last one more contract anyways.
Being a long time NBA fan no you do not “have to.” I would agree Wade is about done anyway..
Then he can leave for warm weather and we can turn our team over to our lottery picks.
Heck its a wish list so go big…
Steve Nash, dont even have to explain why.
Ersan llyasova, is a great pick.
Nicolas Batum
Gorran Dragic?
Gerald Wallace
Jeremy Lin
DJ Augustine
I still think DWill would be a good fit. He has taken his lickings and possibly grown a bit. Plus you have to admit, he is still better than a lot of the PG’s you guys have listed.
Wow thats a list of PG’s and SF’s. I added to the team without taking away half our team. Wow, how cool is that. Oh, I think Will Barton might be a good pick up.
And bring the Pogo back…. Caroll too.
Wow, I never knew Jameer Nelson was so terrible from the line! 38% career free throw shooter, really?
