Ronnie Price Survives.

Ronnie Price never really did anything for the Jazz.  I was so grateful when they let him walk last season.  Even though he was a terrible basketball player he became a fan favorite for his high flying act.  I will never forget how his dunk changed the flow of the game when we beat the Lakers two years ago.

That being said when I was thinking about him all that came to my mind was Jeremy Evans.  Is he the next Ronnie Price?  A bench player that rarely gets into the game and when he does the only thing he provides are a few highlight dunks?

I surely think Jeremy impacts the game more than Ronnie ever did.   He gets rebounds and is a great weak side shot blocker.  I hope Jeremy Evans becomes more of a threat.  Ronnie and Jeremy both have great Jazz attitudes.

I hope the best for Ronnie Price up in Portland.  It will be nice to see him play against the Jazz.  Whether it be because I have a special place in my heart for Ronnie or that he will increase the Jazz’s chance of winning because he is an awful player, well, I will leave that up to you to decide.  Honestly I didn’t know if someone was going to let him play for them this year.  I am glad his NBA dream is surviving… somewhere else besides in Utah.

I think a lot of people severely underestimate Jeremy. I think that, if he were to get more minutes, he’d be more floor-suitable and show his range as well as defensive prowess. With arms as long as the kid has, it must be a breeze to be a great defender.

    Good for Ronnie!

Pogo is very productive for the few minutes he gets in a game, when allowed to play, because he is under scouted.

Every time Earl and Pogo came into the game, you just knew an OOP was coming shortly. If he gets more time that play will be on the scouting report and cut a lot of his opportunities out. He did show some other things in the Summer League and a long term contract should get him more time.

  3. All he needs is a mid range game. If he gets a decent touch from 10-15 feet it will open up his game tremendously. He also needs some weight. He was really pushed around in summer league.

I’m a huge Jeremy Evans fan. Go go pogo!

My favorite moment from last year was J. Evans’ shocked look when Reggie’s sister said the human pogo stick won the dunk contest.
