TV Ratings

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz. The local television ratings were recently released for this season.
5.) Boston Celtics: 4.73
4.) Los Angeles Lakers: 4.79
3.) Miami Heat: 4.94
2.) Utah Jazz: 5.60
1.) San Antonio Spurs: 10.19
What does this mean? Jazz fans are great fans.
The other four teams in the top five are not only playoff teams but championship contenders.
The fact that the Jazz’s ratings are this high in a year when we didn’t even make the playoffs speaks volumes to the love the fans have for the team.
Can’t wait for next season!

Hmmm interesting, New Jersey was dead last. Also, the Clippers had by far the largest ratings increase, but were still second to last in average ratings
yea very interesting.
Just another reason why Jazz fans are the best! I wonder if any NBA team means more to their fan base than the Jazz do?
LOL, I hate to point this out but, could it be that Jazz fans stayed home and watched the games on TV instead of go to the Arena to see the games. LA in town, reminded me of, Well, being in LA. Its scary when you go to your home arena and Jazz Jerseys are not the main Jersey in the stands.. I hope I am wrong there, just an observation.
Probably also means the Jazz aren’t featured on TNT or NBA as often as those in 3rd, 4th and 5th position. For most games of the season you have two choices, go to the game of watch it on one channel.
I’ve a got a new question for you (Sorry Matt for highjacking your point). If in a couple of years the Jazz felt there were struggling to compete against the bigger franchise teams and they felt the need to start a pay per view channel in order to do so, how many do you think would take it up?
I know I would. Especially if there were a season pass with it. I only make it to 5 or 6 games a yr, living out of town and all so it would be something that may interest me.. Better than watching reruns of seinfeld.
I would too, although I’m tempted to become a season ticket holder next season for the first time, depending on what happens with the lockout. With that in mind it might be a hard sell to my wife, especially if after two years of being here I suddenly had the option of watching Scottish football too.
LOL. Good Luck Steven..
In response to Patrick’s question of whether or not this means attendance is down, the answer is no. Jazz were 7th in the league in average attendance this year. We had a bad year and Jazz fans were still there to support them.
I think people felt renewed and understand the vision of where we are going now. We made a tough brilliant trade that is going to pay dividends down the road and ended the season strong.
Of course…if we didn’t have the Jazz, what would we have? RSL?? pshh I don’t pretend to care about soccer just because our team won a title.
I wish I could watch all the games stupid school work but i only missed 3 games
Imagine the result had the second half of the season been as good as the first, If the Jazz were actually winning!
