Meet
Some major lineup changes in place

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.Just read the Jazz are starting Mo, Foye, Millsap, Favors and Al tonight. Thank God for that.
Marvin is in a rut. I’m not worried about him, because he’s shown flashes of greatness. But he’s having a hard time and I think he needs to see a decrease in playing time to light the fire in his gut and make him come out swinging.
I don’t really know why Hayward isn’t starting. I’ve heard some rough talk on him lately in the blogs, but I think he’s been playing better than Foye, he’s just not very flashy so it seems like he’s insignificant. His defense is great and his offense isn’t terrible, and he’s done a good job of making players respect his range and not collapse to double the paint. I think I’d rather see the Junkyard Dog getting the nod, personally. I’ve been furious at his DNP’s lately, when he’s such a passionate player. He reminds me of Harpring in a lot of respects. I’ll be the first to admit I want Corbin’s head on a stake. He’s been coaching terribly. I’m sure if he wants front row tickets to the games, the Jazz front office will oblige and give him a good deal, but seeing him scream like a fan but not make any changes is getting ridiculous.
I’m excited to see what changes the lineup shift cause. What are your thoughts on the changes? And what do you think has caused them?

replacing hayward is stupid. unless hayward is running the piont as back up.
point
Watching the first couple minutes, I agree. Mo isn’t facilitating, Foye isn’t contributing and Paul is playing like a sluggish old man who can’t make a shot. Favors defense is fantastic though.
Corbin is an idiot!!!!
Takes out Hayward for Foye…Foye??!! Coach of the Year.
@derek why is it stupid to bench hayward? he’s played pretty bad, a simple benching is not bad, its just a message sent… and message recieved he just checked in at the 5:45 mark and immediatley hit a jumper then got to the line for 2.
that’s hypocritical cuz I have never seen Corbin bench Al……fair is fair. And Al is garbage.
@omar you crack me up bro…. haha just a question, did you play basketball through high school or college?
on a team?
@omar and if you’ve read what i have posted… i have clearly stated several times he needs to bench hayward AND JEFFERSON… so don’t call me a hypocrite bro
Hayward is the best facilitator the Jazz have. The reason to bench him, i think, wouldve been to use him to facilitate with the 2nd unit instead of Tinsley. But looking at the 1st quarter i was wrong. @Andrew – the call on Corbin wanting front row seats was gold.
hahaha @Steve I wasn’t calling you a “hypocrite” I was saying that benching Hayward is “hypocritical” cuz I have never seen Corbin bench Al: I have seen him bench Millsap but never Al. Just like Corbin talking about “earning time” and then DNP’s Burks for a ton of games?! huh?!
I only played in high school, I have a football built (but I love basketball a lot more than football, football is cool cuz you get to hulk smash) Im too short only 6′0.
Are you seeing how how good Marvin and Hayward are playing with NO Al!!!! TRADE AL NOW!!!
Hayward sure is making Corbin look like he made the right call! This is definitely what we want from him, an aggressive playmaker that can shoot.
You see how they run—how they play D!!! Lindsey should be blowing up GM’s phones: “you want Al?”
Some of the criticizes are harsh and jumping to the gun. I love the starting line-up and the rotations seem to fit better. Hayward seems to be the one option off the bend. Although, I would love to see Burks get a chance to start over Foye, and the big line-up will finish quarters along with Hayward with Burks at the point(one day).
Jazz where down 9-17 when Al left.
Jazz 27-29 when Al re-enters
Jazz scored 18 points while Al was gone while only allowing 12.
Foye cannot guard the SG position.
Both Foye and Mo Williams take ill-advised shots- attempt 3-pointers on fast break, super long twos, and really lazy defense.
did you guys see burks is on the block? sounds dumb to trade him he is way talented but why have him if you don’t play the next dwade?
@Austin Burks getting traded? I will be very disappointed, but since Corbins don’t want to take a chance on him, it’s probably best for him.
Austin, where did you see Burks in trade discussions? If he’s traded, I’m going to be furious. He’s a phenomenal player and deserves playing time more than most of the starters.
Does anyone else remember when Tyrone was a player, how he’d complain when youngsters would get more playing time than him? Is that what he’s utilizing in the system now? Is that why we’re losing? I don’t like him at all. I want him out.
ThanhVII, you are right.
Are you serious Austin?!!! Foye has had some hot games, but he is pretty one dimensional and way too inconsistent. Burks is soooo good. This will be worse Humphries, Stevenson, biggest mistake in Jazz history. And we will look back and say we traded Burks to keep Foye…..
@Andrew you are right about Corbin. This is the same FO that cannot get rid of Bell and holds on to Al, but will be able to trade Burks, probably the player with one of the highest ceilings. I bet KOC trades Burks to Lakers. Ya great idea, I am sure that will not come back to hurt us.

Our coach really needs to take more risks. He hasn’t given the big line-up enough time on the floor together. We saw what they did last year, but he still doesn’t believe in it.
In my opinion getting rid of Burks would not be a good idea. Give the kid a chance he has a lot of potential. But typical Jazz they will get rid of him and he will go shine as a roll player for a championship team.
Corbin is horrible and what an ugly game tonight. The Jazz need a leader as a coach and I am just not seeing that in Corbin.
That was ugly win, no one can say Foye should ever start again. When he gets cold, he dosent offer the team alot. I would like to see Favours over Marvin stick.
If burks was involved with a jefferson trade I’d be happy enough. Is anyone really surprised that Burks is tradebait, Corbin never plays him so why would he want to stay and play for an inept coaxh when he can head elsewhere for big minutes and torch the jazz a few times a year
When we fire Corbin in like two years after missing the playoffs the next two years cuz Jazz resigned Al and traded Burks, we are really gonna look back at the great F-up that is Corbin and Jazz FO. So much potential and they still managed to screw it up.
