Meet
DeMarcus Cousins

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.Big Al is set to make 14 mil. this year and 15 mil. next year. He is a great post player and did a lot for the Jazz last year, but our offense seems to halt when he is on the floor. I understand that Philly does not have a very good post presence, but Favors destroyed them when he started over Al. I propose that the Jazz ship Big Al to Sacramento for DeMarcus Cousins and picks. Cousins is a head-case, but it makes fiscal sense and would allow for a more fluid rotation among our young bigs. It frees up even more cap space for next year, and allows for added flexibility.
What are your thoughts? I love Big Al, but if we are going to lose games, then why waste valuable experience time?
p.s. Free Burks!

Sac wouldn’t do it. Big Al is a nice player and is better right now, but Cousins is their rebuilding cornerstone. If they traded him and/or especially their draft picks, they would pretty much be ruining their whole future rebuilding process. Definitely a good thought, but Sac wouldn’t buy it.
you guys obviously haven’t been following the sports world the past few hours. Cousins was asked to stay home from the Sacramento-New Orleans game tonight because of a fight he got in with Head Coach Paul Westphal. He demanded to be traded and refuses to be part of the team, apparently. It’s on yahoo sports and twitter. He’d be terrible here, because the Jazz don’t put up with crap, and he only knows how to give crap.
Are you kidding? That’s what you want here on our team? No way. that’s a terrible idea, thought, and whatever else. Ugh.
Putting one of the worst attitudes in the NBA on our team is the worst thing we could do right now. Cousins is a selfish idiot. He’d hurt Favors’s development as well and make Ty’s job much harder. The influence that a punk like him could have on such a young team is scary. He will never be the player he could be because of his awful attitude. What makes you think he’s want to be in Utah if he didn’t want to be in Sacramento. Terrible idea. But yes, free Burks!
Here you go. Not something that I endorse, but you know someone will say it shortly.
TRADE OF THE YEAR
CJ Miles
Raja Bell
AL Jefferson
Tinsley
for
DeMarcus Cousins
Marcus Thornton
JIMMER FREDETTE
Again I dont endorse this, I just know someone is going to go nuts if they think they can dump Bell and get Fredette.
They would reason that Cousins is the Defense we need, and Thornton is the scoring we need, while getting Jimmer the supposed PG we need.
come on guys. this opportunity is prime. who says we have to have cousins here? There is alot of options with this . we are probably the only team with a quality big man we can release and still excell in the post play. Jeremy Evans would be 2nd man off the bench to sub in the post for alot of teams. Hes #5 with us. I could see a multi team trade going with this and i would put Al and CJ on the block. Al going to Sacramento and anything could happen with any team that wanted to trade. Another first round draft pick, maybe jimmer, something with our trade exception. I would think this would be a big move with parties involved not just cousins. and i would think that jazz are a first option to try any trade with.
…and if this trade does happen. Underkanter gets rookie of the year lol!
Hell no. he is psycho and will end up shooting someone in a strip club that is what players like him do have tons of potential but let there emotions get the better of them
Cousins is poison. Terrible idea. Plus, he’s really not that great. He’s an arrogant, underachieving, beligerent deuchebag. Exactly the kind of player the Jazz management would NEVER consider getting [for better or worse--in this case: better]. Any team he goes to is going to suffer for it. I was at a Jazz/Kings game last season. We crushed them. The only player who didn’t suck was Evans.
Just read up on Cousins. The phrase No way in hell comes to mind.
No way – Cousins is a problem child. We would be trading down for a WORSE problem. He has talent, sure, but so do our folks. Our folks don’t have that kind of attitude though.
Not a fan of Cousins
Mark my words, Cousins WILL be a Laker sooner or later
We don’t need a head case while youth are developing.
@Patrick: No way Sac lets Jimmer go. Already a great success for the fan base. How about a three way that puts Cousins in Houston and Jazz land Martin??
