Meet
Fall Predictions

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.Starting Lineup: Deron, Matthews, Miles, AK, Koufos
Sixth Man: Millsap (he will get more minutes than some of the starters…)
I’m predicting a breakout season from Kosta Koufos (10 points, 8 boards/game)
Hayward will receive solid minutes because of his work ethic and willingness to play the system, he won’t give huge numbers, but he will be a solid asset to the team.
Utah Jazz 50 – 32 (4th playoff seed, but only because we win the tiebreaker with OKC for our division)
Please comment and tear this apart, I want to know your input.

Man you are optimistic. If the Jazz dont add anybody, which I think they will, I dont see them winning 45 games. I think they would miss the playoffs. That said the Jazz gave a pick to the Bulls for that trade exception. This tells me that they are more likely to use the exception because they dont like trading picks.
Even if the Jazz don’t add anybody, I still see them making the playoffs, just as 8th seed. I’m pretty sure they will use the TPE though, but don’t be looking for a huge impact player because I only see us using half of the exception which is about 7mil.
And I would rather have AK as the sixth man, he would backup both Millsap and CJ getting plenty of minutes.
Trust me the Jazz will use the trade exception. They dont just give away picks. Also, the Rockets will make the playoffs because they didn’t have Martin for a full year and they didn’t have Yoa at all. New Orleans will have Paul, Golden state will be better, the Clippers will be better. It has already taken 50 wins the last 2 years to make the playoffs and I dont think Boozer only meant 4 games to the Jazz.
Yes, I agree. They will use the TPE, I just don’t think they will use all of it. Probably around half. I still think the Jazz can make the playoffs without any huge moves.
1.Lakers 2.Dallas 3.OKC 4.Denver 5.Portland 6.Houston 7.PHX 8.Utah(with the Clippers fighting them for the spot).
I know its still really early, but I believe the Jazz can still make the playoffs, just sucks that they will be so low.
You dont think that the Spurs will make it. Remember memphis to. My point is even if they do sneek in, they still have to get better. I would rather miss the playoffs and have a high draft pick then get beet out in the first round.
I think the question now is: “Would you rather have the Jazz make the playoffs and land the 15-16th pick or miss the playoffs and get the 13-14th pick?”
Niether
I want them to use these exceptions and get better.
last year this team maybe could have hit 8th, this year however with portland, golden state, houston and the clippers all getting better along with the lakers, mavs, spurs, okc, denver and phoenix all being very good, I don’t see the jazz even getting to the playoffs.
Ya the Jazz are getting passed by. They need to improve
Unless the Jazz has a reliable inside presence, opposing teams will double-team D-Will and/or force the Jazz to take perimeter shots. So, a miracle is needed for the Jazz to do well this coming season especially if the Jazz doesn’t have a strong, reliable, and consistent inside presence on offense and defense.
