Trade Machine fun

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.1. Chris Broussard of ESPN has stated that Golden State would rather move Curry than Ellis, but that they would only do it for a great big man. Big Al for Curry & Biedrins works financially and helps out Golden State by taking on Biedrins and giving them arguably the 3rd best center in the league:

2. Here is another idea. According to the New York Daily News, Boston is still trying to deal Rondo, with the Lakers and the Jazz as the top trade choices. Here is a trade involving Devin Harris and Paul Millsap for Rajon Rondo and Brandon Bass. We get a good backup Power Forward in Bass and a defensive-minded creative point guard in Rondo. We do have to give up Millsap and probably the Golden-State pick, but we open room for Favors and make ourselves a much better defensive team. Rondo has three years remaining on his deal AFTER THIS YEAR, and although he is not a great shooter, he fixes our point guard issue. Now we just need Gordon to start hitting threes and Burks to shine.

3. Portland is struggling right now, and both Raymond Felton and Wesley Matthews have lost fan support and fallen out of the starting lineup. This trade involves dishing Harris and Millsap in exchange for the two mentioned Blazers. This is problematic though, as we are definitely not getting enough back in return. We would probably get a draft pick and cash considerations from Portland, or bring in a third team to make this work out, where we dish C.J. somewhere and bring in a nice piece. Sap is worth as much as the two pieces coming back in this, just saying, don’t hate on me for this. I love Sap but he’s our most likely piece to be traded, because teams would want him more than our other players. He is affordable, has a lot of heart, and plays hard every night.

4. Jimmer Freddette for Tinsley and Carrol

haha, just kidding. I don’t want Jimmer.
5. No trades, stay put. This is what will happen unless we can get a game changing player in return, such as in the first two options. I do not see us making a deal just to deal.

Interesting trades.
They give me mixed emotions. I like Curry. He’s just what I think we need in PG going forward with our young guys. I hate Biedrins. What would we do without Al’s low block scoring production? Curry’s ankles…I think we’d be in for more losses in the short term.
Rondo + Bass for Devin + Millsap? I wouldn’t do it if we had to give up the GS pick (unless I knew somehow they were going to win a top-3 pick in the lottery and make us lose it). How would Rondo’s attitude be in Utah?
I don’t like Felton. Love Matthews. Great defender, hits the three, can drive. Everything I want in a role-player wing. I say we make a run at Nicolas Batum at season’s end when he’s a free agent.
I’d do Jimmer for Tinsley and Carrol for sure!
My thoughts on Millsap is don’t trade him unless we can get an upper tier PG or elite wing player.
I love Curry ,worried about his injuries. I think if Rondo came here he would be a top 3 pg in the league by the end of the season. Its a long shot for Utah to make it to the playoffs with the schedule we have comming up. but our young guys are on the verge of explosion. If we landed a good passing PG that can defend and a 3 point shooter this teams direction could change in a hurry.
All could happen and all help the other teams as well! Good to see trades that make sense not ones that give the jazz everything with no way that the other team will do anything.
Rivers came out last night and guaranteed rondo will stay in Boston for the rest of the year. Of course something could happen to change that if someone offers the moon for rondo but I don’t see that happening.

I don’t see any of these happing maybe golden state but, that’s it. Jimmer is worth more then that we can’t get felton for the offer. The only reason I say golden state is the line up they have hasn’t been able to win for a few years now and, they might think its time for a change. I don’t think these are realistiv at all
Just because the coach and GM say that means NOTHING!! They are only making sure the bridges are not burned in case they do not rid themselves of him.
@ Trevor – All these trades are quite reasonable
I dont like the rondo trade if we have to give up a draft pick. I used to be a big fan of Felton but his attitude is a bit questionable in Portland.
Curry is awesome and although his injury concerns are a downside I would make that trade if it was on offer
