1) Corbin is all ready up to him old self. Despite Burks getting 11 shots on 66% shooting last night that was not enough to earn minutes. He got 8 minutes and did not get in the game in the 2nd half. He played good defense on Kobe as well so why he never entered I have no idea other then it is Corbin.
2) Everyone played good. Not great but good. The only one I thought struggled out of the starters was Mo. Sounded like the Lakers were getting the calls like they always do.
3) Kanter is an animal! He is getting double doubles in 20 mins on the floor! Who does not think he is ready for more time now? The kid can play and this just makes it harder and harder to keep all 4 big men. We have not had Millsap these last two games. So minutes have been able to be given out. What happens when they are all here. Someone is getting shafted and Favors may not be putting up 20 pts but his defense is superb. Gasol barely had an impact because Favors rejected him twice in 2 mins. Because of this he was scared to go to the hole again. That is the affect of Favors!
4) Marvin is good. He affects the game in many ways and you do not realize it and then he is tied for being our top scorer. I am glad we got him.
5) Foye played the 2 tonight for the most part. Still was not effective. He has to turn it around soon or hopefully his time will start being diminished. He is in there to make threes and he is not even doing that. Maybe he needs to get his legs under him as well not sure.
6) The guys need some time off hopefully they get some in L.A. They have not had a day off since TC opened so hopefully they can get some rest tomorrow with a light practice on Monday and come into Tuesday refreshed.

I am sooo angry right now….I loved that the Jazz fought soo hard, played a tough grind it out game….but I need to get some stuff started before I talk about the Jazz.
Did anyone else watch the game…..Dwight, being a damn little B, was mocking the Utah Jazz bench for cheering their teammates….WTF is that!!! You damn bastard! Wearing such a stupid as shirt, Dwight should not be in a position to mock anybody or anything. F him, piece of sh**!!!
You already mocked being a teammate how childish you behaved last year, by throwing your coach under the bus, by holding you team hostage with your “wish list,” maybe you should wish for a set of testies, since you obviously do not have the balls to win on your own. Yet you mock supporting teammates in a preseason game??!! Just goes to show that having money, does not mean you have class. Piece of Trash.
So now I am going to make a twitter account and harass Dwight!!! Whomever wants to join me is welcome to. And since their bi*** asses are going to be in SLC on Tuesday, I think we should blow this up. And can a local commentator, or news person, ask him why he was so mocking to the Jazz bench??

P.S. Nash, with no 3 point shooters to spread the court….pretty mediocre to me.

Im hoping the reason Burks didn’t play much is because he has had such a strong showing, and Corbin is trying to get Foye to play out of his slump. That is the only reason I could see that is not Corbin being last year Corbin.
Kobe couldn’t guard Burks to straight plays, Kobe cries, and gets to the line like in 5 straight possessions?! Like 90% of his points were from the line!! Only in LA can you see a team go on an 8-0 run ALL on free throws. Instead about worrying about flopping, maybe they should worrying about themselves being corrupt refs!!! Favors got HAMMERED several times, Evans CLEAN block and gets a foul?! hell.
I still want to see the Favors, Millsap, Marvin, Hayward, Mo starting lineup. Let Kanter and Al face backup front courts.
I looked like the Jazz were giving guys at the end of the roster playing time before they get cut or to see who gets cut before Tuesday’s game. Then the Lakers send their A unit in to bully Jazz’s 2nd/3rd unit?! hahaha. And the Jazz go on a monster run. Loved it. When the Lakers are crying, cheap shotting, and getting frustrated, that when when you know the Jazz have a good team. Just need to fight every night.

1′.) Corbin knows Burks’ potential, and know he doesn’t need to be giving lots of playing time every night in the preseason. Especially on the team’s first back-to-back after not having a break since in the beginning of training camp 6 days in. It’s a long season, and I think the thing Corbin knows how to do is bring players along slowly and not rush them. Burks will get the playing time due to him when the time counts.
2′.) Kanter’s numbers are also partially skewed since he got so much junk time. I was hoping we could see how he measures up to Howard tonight, but that’ll have to wait. I think Utah’s front court already has, and will continue to give the Lakers’ front court trouble. You are right about Favors’ defense having an impact in the paint, but his game is going to be slowly coming as well. Favors also hasn’t been getting the minutes against the same players are at the same times in the game as Kanter. If Favors was in the game the last 10 minutes, he’d got some solid junk time stat padding too.
3.’) How long has Foye been in Utah for now? I wonder how his body is adjusting to the thin air os SLC.
4.’) Quinn has been impressive, even if it’s been during junk time. Marvin Williams and Tinsley also had nice games, poppin’ three’s over ice, like a blizzard. We were without Millsap, and in Laker land, so advantage LA, victory Utah. I can’t wait for Favors and Kanter to be matching up against Gasol and Howard.
@Nathan the moment Foye signed he was in Utah. He has been working out for a while. Also this game was in L.A so no Altitude to use as a crutch.
