Sidney Lowe has some legal problems. What does that have to do with coaching??? Sounds like a spineless originator of this petition…

  2. TACOREV says:

Yeah who cares about Sidney Lowe. But Corbin needs to go, so that’s all I care about with this link. Everyone go there and sign it!

  3. Will someone please give me a realistic alternative to who would be the very best fit available to replace Ty? I like Stan Van Gundy but I’m not sure his style will maximize the potential of our team going forward. My complaint with Ty is that he is too nice when guys deserve to get an earful or should be pulled due to a lack of effort.

There are people a lot smarter than us that credit what Ty has done given the circumstance he inherited. He has a .500 record, ALL 4 of the core 4 have improved despite the playing time we have all hoped for. We aren’t going to make the playoffs because there were too many games that the players lacked intensity AND we are without an All Star and true game changer on our roster at this point. Phil Jackson wouldn’t have won squat without Jordan or Kobe.

I think our failure rests more on our starters than Ty. Mo and Marvin haven’t lived up to what we had hoped. Big Al is just barely learning how to share the ball and Millsap isn’t the team player he once was. Al is a lazy defender, Mo wants to be the hero, Millsap is playing selfish. FIRE THEM

  4. TACOREV says:

I assume you’re joking, Kory. Who is the one that’s starting those starters?? If Al is being lazy and Corbin does nothing about it, that’s on Corbin. If Mo keeps trying to be the hero and Corbin doesn’t do anything about it, that’s on Corbin. If Millsap is playing selfish, that again is on Corbin if he doesn’t do anything about it. If Marvin is ineffective, it’s up to the coach to bench him, and NOT wait until 60-something games into the season. Same goes with Foye.

Corbin is the COACH!! He should be COACHING these players, not standing by doing nothing. He isn’t doing that, and thus is failing at his job and needs to be relieved of his duties.

You essentially just laid down a solid argument (one of many possible arguments) AGAINST Corbin.

  5. TACO, you failed to answer my request? Your solution is to FIRE CORBIN but who do you replace him with? To me it would make the most sense to have Dennis bring in one of Pops assistant coaches that have learned how to teach fundamental basketball and hold the players accountable if they fail to implement the system into their games. Jerry Sloan made ridiculous substitutions and he is recognized as a Hall of Fame coach by his peers.

  6. TACO, please feel free to disprove any of the points I made in my first comment other than your obsession to FIRE CORBIN.

If we played like we did tonight all season, you couldn’t honestly find a reason to fire Corbin. True Alec Burks didn’t play in OT, but Mo was finally on fire and gave us a chance to win. Does Corbin deserve to be fired for that? it could be argued that Mo wasn’t as effective on defense because he had 5 fouls, but nonetheless he was playing pretty well

Please note, IM NOT DEFENDING CORBIN. I would just like to hear a logical alternative to getting rid of him

    A petition to fire Corbin!

Great idea there. In fact if you to make sure Corbin keeps his job just send a petition to Greg Miller and see what happens.

  8. Omar says:

At the very least, this petition is getting that seat a little bit hotter. In fact, its not a coincidence that since the fire Corbin bandwagon has gotten momentum, Watson is getting DNP, wheras at the beginning of the year, Burks was getting DNPed with Watson getting like 20+ minutes. Now Hayward has moved into starting line up. The #FireCorbin movement is already succeeding!! We still need a ways to go, but its moving faster and faster.

This time last year I had to spend days arguing why Corbin is sorrry and Al is overrated and the worst defender on the team; how great the C4 are…..now, its almost a universal given that Al is overrated and the worst defender, and now I read a lot more people seeing Corbin for what we have neen saying he is since LAST year! I have seen the change personal so this is another step in the road to progress.

    #FireCorbin

  9. Omar says:

Anybody read “A Good Man is Hard to Find”??

Well, Corbin would be a better coach if he was getting fired every game of his life!

  10. TACOREV says:

Mo was 4/9 in the 4th & OT, hardly “on fire”… but that’s beside the point.

I don’t know what you want Kory, the writing on the wall is clear that Corbin is taking this team nowhere, and that writing’s been there for some time. People have been talking about it on this site for months. I don’t have to go back and explain it all to you again. I shouldn’t have to anyway, watching Corbin’s pathetic attempt at coaching night in and night out should be enough for any competent human being to see he’s not the answer here.

There are plenty of people to replace Corbin with, that would do a better job. You even answered your own question by saying Stan Van Gundy or Mike Budenholzer (Spurs assistant). There’s two possibilities right there. But it’s not my job to find a new coach. All I know is that Corbin (again) has and never will take this team anywhere. Period. Now the GM needs to acknowledge that concept, and do his job in finding a replacement.

  11. NA says:

Stan Van Gundy, Mike Budenholzer, Mike Brown, Nate Macmillan, Maurice Cheeks, Brian Shaw. I would gladly take any of these over what Corbin has given us.

  12. TACO, how good were Popovich and Phil Jackson their first 2 years coaching? How good would have they been without Kobe and MJ? Thibideau won Coach of the year in Chicago the year that Rose was ROY and now Chicago fans bash him while Rose sits on the bench. See the parallel? Corbin doesn’t have an elite player to boost his winning %. As our young players and young coach become more experienced, they will get better. If not, then fire him

NA, I appreciate you at least offering suggestions as to who you would have replace Corbin. Are these guys available? Do any of them have better winning %’s than Ty without a top tier player on their roster? Mike Brown is in the same boat as Pop and Phil, he wouldn’t have been successful without LeBron. He got canned in LA halfway through one season.

  13. TACOREV says:

Corbin’s issues are far, FAR deeper than simply win percentage and/or lack of a star player. If you can’t see it like everyone else can, either you’re not paying attention or you don’t know basketball.

Besides, one of the (MANY) major digs on Corbin is that he may very well have a star player in the making (or even multiple star players!), but he won’t ever EVER give them an opportunity to live up to it — instead sticking with his lazy, inefficient, mediocre vets through thick and thin. I’m not saying Kanter, Favors or Burks ARE star players or ever will be… but if they’re never given the opportunity, we’ll never know. One thing we DO know, is that the players Corbin insists on player ahead of them are NOT star players and NEVER will be.

But again, Corbin is too dumb to figure that out.
