OK now I am getting frustrated.

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.

The list of possible additions to the Jazz just keeps getting littler. Meanwhile, conference rivals just keep getting better and the Jazz  do nothing. All the other teams are getting better. I am really hoping to hear something soon. You look at every single team that has had success, they are always trying to improve.

We’ve lost Tony Allen, Haslem, and Quentin Richardson. All good players that I wouldn’t mind seeing on the jazz. Even though Q rich would be a little too pricey for what we needed. But still things are happening. A lot just this morning. And we got nothing to show still.

  2. Jeff says:

Once again, aside from one or two guys that reamin. KOC and the Jazz are filling the team with has beens and never will bes. Here’s to maybe making the playoffs, and IF we do we’re out in one or two rounds. And still not good enough to make a run at the title.

When the Suns lost amare, they realized they needed to do something. The have now got Turkolu,Chidress,Warrick and the actully resigned their own free agent(Channing Frye) before he could get offered a redicoulis contract.

  4. Lee says:

    I agree,
Almost every team in the league has changed something about their team.
Every team has at least offered contracts to players.
The Utah Jazz is the only team that hasn’t done either.

  5. Joseph says:

Nope. We just let our players go. I love being a Jazz fan! lol

  6. Chad Cheek says:

Think smarter. There are still decent options. #1 is building from within. Don’t underestimate that two teams have or are attempting to pay Jazz uniformed talent $140Million. These weren’t highly sought after players before they got here. Who’s next? Hayward, Miles, or someone we aren’t even thinking of? The best organizations cultivate their talent. Boozer would have been nice to keep, but just watch … Milsap and Miles will have KILLER years.

  7. kevin says:

Yes we know there are still options, that is what makes it frustrating. What do you mean think smarter? The Lakers are better than us, we need to do something about it. Why is that not clear to some people.

  8. kevin says:

When you come on and say “think smarter” have something legitimate to back it up.

The problem with the patience theory now is this. Loyalty is gone from the NBA. We dont have Stockton anymore who will turn down offers from other teams to stay. Daron is going to leave. Get this through your head. We need a team now to make a run, that is the way the league is now.

  10. Chad Cheek says:

Should have said think ‘longterm’, ‘big picture’. Kirlinkos off the books next year. CBA gets renegotiated as well, maybe lockout … Then its a new ballgame. Why blow the financials now. We could be the Bulls that have unsuccessfully rebuilt 4 or 5 times now. Why is this ending everyones world? Its a game! One that we are all emotionally invested in. Why would we want Haslem, Turk, or a myriad of other players that collectively would not be Bryant, Gasol, Wade, Garnett, etc? We’re never going to outbid a major market, so all we can do is build our own talent (and keep them!). If the name isn’t Deron right now, then we shouldn’t be crying. Backed up enough?

  11. kevin says:

We have the trade exceptions. I Know we wont outbid teams. You see all these teams adding pieces for next to nothing. were are the Jazz? Pau Gasol put the Lakers over the top, Rasheed put Detroit over the top, Shaq put Miami over the top. Yes it is best to cultivate talant, I agree with that, but you also have to add a piece. All the moves I mentioned were trades. There is nothing stopping the Jazz from making a trade.

  12. kevin says:

Also, by the time your theory plays out, Deron will be gone, mark my words.

  13. Chad Cheek says:

Maybe so. Maybe not. That’s up to Deron. No one else. I would hardley call Rasheed as the piece that put Boston over the top. How many bad years post Shaq in Miami? Would you accept 5 bad years, maybe no playoffs for one championship? Can a small market team survive doing so? Not sure, but Minnesota had to change ownership and they are still talking about moving the team? Gotta be smart because the community counts too much on the team for them to not be financilly viable. Have faith in the young talent (like Millsap).

  14. kevin says:

I said Detroit, not Boston. The bad years the Heat had didn’t have anything to do with Shaq. I am not asking for a complete rebuild. I am asking for 1 move.

  15. kevin says:

I definalty see what you are saying. I know a lot of move’s usually dont work. But If you look at the teams that have went to the championship, they have all made one or two moves to put them over the top.

  16. kevin says:

Now that I think about it, did Miami really have that many bad years. I remember one, because Wade was hurt. Other than that they were always in the playoffs.

  17. Kelton says:

Watching highlights and film of Millsap Miles and Fez have really changed my mind. I would be happy if we got Brewer I would be happy if we got Wes. Lets get both and throw in Big Al?
