Really liked this article on sltrib. I agree with it that Burks might be the most influential player right now due to injuries. All you guys saying trade Burks and who are giving up on him, just have some patience. this is the kid that many predicted would be one of the few all-stars out of his draft class. He is only in his 2nd year and hasn’t had consistant minutes let alone we are trying to mold him into a point guard which never will happen over night. It will take time just have some patience Jazz fans.

Burks hasn’t shown a lot on the floor, except when he’s paired up with Boy Wonder at the co-point, but he is more of an offensive threat than Jamaal or Earl. When they are in, they double Big Al, or sag off into the paint, and beg them to shoot.
So, this is a good opportunity, with Earl and Mo out, to get some PT and improve. It will really help when Gordon gets back to team up with him.

Burks played great tonight. Offense ran smoothly and he let the game come to him.

So why again was Watson averaging about 25 minutes per game…….
The C4 are good right now, but Id say they are behind in their development because of Corbin and KOC, so consider if they all had consistently been getting at least 25 minutes per game the last year or two years?! Jazz would be about a 3 or 4th seed and getting better.
Im not a burks hater but he does need to be alot more consistent. That’s why you see watson and tinsley over burks in the line up. Because corbin knows what to expect. Even though they can never do what burks can they will be consistent and play in control. Which is something burks doesn’t do regularly. He had a good game fun to watch tonight but can he come out and do it the next game? He can be a great help and bring your team to a win or he can really hinder you depending on the night.
