Meet
Blake Ahearn….and another QUALITY player from Missouri State

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.Ok, I will admit, I am a graduate of Missouri State University. So I might be a bit biased; that being said, I also have been following some of the alumni (especially Blake Ahearn and Kyle Weems). I attended Missouri State while both of these guys played.
Let’s start with Blake. He is one of the hardest working most agressive players I have ever watched develope. Blake would not be where he is if he didn’t bring quite a lot to the table. He doesn’t look the part but he is a dilligent leader that should NOT be over looked. I’m old enough to have watched Steve Kerr and John Stockton. Blake can contribute to the Jazz in similar ways as Stockton did, and like Kerr did in the NBA. Blake can score at will and can hit freethrows better than ANYONE in NBA history. If he has confidence that he can stay with the team for a while, he will also lead off the bench. Players admire him and he brings enthusiazm that can motovate anyone. He has skills that most of the Jazz fans just don’t know about yet.
Give Blake a chance and I guarentee you won’t be disappointed….He has proven it at EVERY level he has played so far.
Another very good Missouri State alumni is Kyle Weems. Kyle looks like an NBA er and is expected to draft fairly high in the draft. He would be a great addition to the Jazz as well.
I now live in Denver but would love to bring more fans to the Jazz by giving praise to the team for making solid decisions by retaining Blake and considering Kyle!

Watson is under contract one more year. Tinsley and Ahearn are a team option. Watson did pretty good the first part of the season but I think he came back too early from an injury and was never the same. Tinsley showed he belonged on a team but wore down towards season end. That being said I do not see them on the team for next year. Ahearn really did not get much of a chance and I think KOC might give him a chance. I think a guy like him could have made the difference on the Wolves when Rubio went down. I think KOC spends many hours doing him homework..
Haha LK I think other people do KOC homework and he goes along with it.
