Missing the point.

Posted by: Randall 'Sagg' Harris on January 27th, 2011

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.

W’s and L’s.

Sometimes it’s so simple to equate.

Perhaps.

I think the nay-sayers and boo birds, tossing objects onto Larry’s court are missing the point.

I know I myself have been pretty vocal about the Jazz’ downslope.

But this is no time to throw the entire litter out with the bath water. Patience.

Remember we put up 100+ points on one of the best defenses in the league.

Plus Big Al exploded.

Patience.

We might look back at January and laugh.

Melo might be a Knick.

Alderidge might get hurt.

The Lakers may implode.

We never know. The main thing is, just like the ‘grind it out’ , ‘play til the last second’, ‘come from behind’ early season wins we were so excited about. We may have a late season burst.

Now is not the time to panic.

Especially after last nights positive loss.

Yes, I said it. Positive loss.

I know some will disagree.

But I think they are missing the point!

AL starting PF in the second half, trade for a real center a defensive center and Memo and Millsap of the bench and they got them self a bench a scoring bench. Easy said right it only it were.

Chris Kaman is a good big man in the market right now and i really think Boris is coming to the Jazz. As of right now Diaw is playing a little better than AK.

You are right “It ain’t over till the fat lady sings.” You may have to be over fifty years old to know where that statement comes from.

It was a very positive loss. Take back a few if our stupid turnovers and we might have had an alternative ending.

Al looked good in the pick and roll.
    Deron played at All-Star level.
Who knew Watson was a Ginobli-stopper?!
Jeremy is good for 10 points in 10 minutes it appears.
Did something happen to Fes that I missed? Where’s he been?
The attitude and body language was much improved.

There’s a lot of room for improvement, still, but if they had played like that on their road trip, they’d have been at least 3-2 instead of 0-5.

@KC – Fes apparently has a sinus infection.

I agree with a positive loss, however I think that it was only positive due to Sloan making a few changes to his rigid style. The five blokes who made the start of the comeback have never played as a unit before last night. Evans is athletic and brings energy to the team, Memo looked more comfortable and watson was distributing to the right people. Cj also drove to the bucket (miracle) Overall it was positive due to energy, as well as Big Al and D-Will

I’ve said this a bunch of times:

Memo is going to be absolutely key to the Jazz’s success in the postseason, as will Kirilenko.

D-Will and Big Al need to be running that pick ‘n roll alot more together.
