Another possible trade in the works?
Posted by: S.F. on February 8th, 2013
The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.Let me begin by stating, I know the Jazz are tight lipped and most of the time trade rumors involving them are not accurate. With that being said, I read about another potential trade involving the jazz and would like to hear what others think. Chris Sheridan (yes, chris sheridan again) is reporting the Jazz and T-Wolves are discussing a trade for Luke Ridnour. The Jazz would trade Bell and the worst of their two first rounders for Ridnour. Originally, the Wolves wanted Burks but the Jazz told the Wolves to go fly a kite. What do you guys think about this trade?

No way. Bell isn’t occupying anyone’s playing time, so I don’t really care if he gets traded or not. And giving up a first rounder for Ridnour?? Not worth it. If it was Bell and Watson or Tinsley, I’d say go ahead.
Agree with taco good back up pg we would get but not a first rounder worth.
@ taco and austin, I agree with you guys. Ridnour is a good backup and I would be fine taking on his contract for an expiring contract but not for a first rounder. However, hypothetically speaking, if Shved were the pg we were getting, I would be inclined to trade our first rounder. Shved is young and will make a lot of mistkes but I have liked what I have seen thus far.
I don’t believe it because the Jazz would love to get rid of Bell and Burks. I would think they’d give them away for free.
I dont think Ridnour is better than the 5th best PG in the 2013 draft. No way I give up a 1st round pick for him. A 2nd yes.
Jazz have 4 picks this draft so I think itd be wise to keep them in case Jazz want to package and move up draft.
No pick going with Toxic Raja to make a trade. He might be forced down another teams throat to make a Paul or Big Al trade, as a Jazz enticement to make the trade.
A Toxic Raja trade probably needs a team wanting to get under the luxury tax, for a player the Jazz want.

@ Nick I understand why you think the Jazz want to get rid of Bell (anyone paying attention at all in the last year understands that) but why do you think they want to get rid of Burks? Also, even if the Jazz want to get rid of Burks don’t you think they could do better than Ridnour (especially given his performance the last few games)?
@NKA, where did you read that the Jazz would love to get rid of Burks, don’t be such a bummer
