Meet
Dish network and FSN
Posted by: Colby on October 1st, 2010
The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.It appears that Fox and DISH network have not come to an agreement and channels such as FX,NatGeo and 19 FSN channels have been pulled. FX has been replaced with some children programing.
The GOOD news is I looked up the the full list of FSN regions and Utah Jazz games appear to be broadcast through FSN Rocky Mountain. This channel has not been pulled so DISH customers will continue to have their Jazz games.
Although FOX is the bad guy in this situation I think I will be switching to DirecTV if I can have my contract bought out.
Just thought I would give you an update.

Thanks for the update. I’m with you though. I’m probably still going to try to switch over to DirecTV.
Guys, I represent DirecTV. Pleae do let me know how I can help you to get a new DirecTV service. And, if the buyout is reasonable, maybe we can talk about it. Okay? Call me at 801.738.9859 or email me at dtvsatelliteinfo@gmail.com. Go JAZZ !
Will do Arnell. I will be talking to my wife tonight and will contact you soon.
This isn’t true. I just called Dish Network they told me FSN rocky mountain will be scheduled as normal and I wouldnt miss a game.
DirecTv rocks! It’s a little more pricey than Dish but the programming and customer service are far better. As the old saying goes, “you get what you pay for.” I’ve never had a problem with DirecTv. I don’t represent them in any way, just thought I’d throw that out there.
Arnell, does it not matter where I live? Can you help me vanquish this DISH contract? I need me some DirectTV. ha

Sean that’s exactly what the post is saying. It’s saying that Jazz games will NOT be pulled.
Chase – yes, it doesn’t matter, we’re Nationwide (just make sure that your property has a view of the SouthEast sky.
I live in wyoming so for awhile I was relying on FSN RM to give me jazz games. Until FSN utah came along ill bet I only saw 50% at best. Colorado Rockies games were always bumping the jazz games. Along with other stuff. Dish Network better solve this or I fear there will be a lot of us who just get grumpy several times a week.
Once again FSN Rocky Mountain has NOT been taken off.
But it is still time to switch. novemeber 1st FOX is making threats to pull LOCAL FOX networks which is just ridiculous.
I should have stuck with directv! I switched to dish a few weeks ago and think I am going to regret it. I called today because we were not getting Altitude (go Aggies!) like we were told that we would. The first representative told me that Altitude is part of the fox regional sports networks and so wouldn’t get it until the contract disputes were resolved. I then asked about what this meant for fsn Utah and she couldn’t tell me either way (she said that fsn Utah didn’t even show up on her list of regional sports networks- so helpful!).
I w
The funny thing is the second representative said the we should still be getting altitude and fsn rocky mountain and to check my guide again. When I went to do that the receiver was not working and so she told me to reset the receiver. After it started back up low and behold we were getting altitude! Kind of fishy. She still could not give me a straight answer on fsn utah and I couldn’t find the pre- season game on the 14th against Phoenix that the jazz schedule lists as being broadcast on fsn listed on any of the alternate sports channels. She offered to throw some other free sports packages in and $5 off our bill for 6 months to stay- but if we are not getting the Jazz games I told her there is no way We are staying with them. I just hope directv takes me back if it comes to that!
