Jeremy Lin, Darren Collison and Russell Westbrook  average 27 points on 59 percent shooting against us

i said this some days ago, in my opinion the biggest problem we have.

harris, bell, miles, watson have not the speed that more of nba pg have, so they’re not able to defende well

i think we need a trade to fix this and we have salary space to do something good

  1. I wish so badly there was a way we could get rondo.

  2. Zach says:

Once again, Rondo is a punk who can’t take criticism, wants a large market, and throws things when he’s upset(remote through tv in practice facility). Last thing we need right now is a such a head case.

  3. S.F. says:

@ Zach, Have you ever thrown anything when you were upset? My guess is that you have. The difference, you aren’t in the public eye so when you do something boneheaded nobody knows/cares. It would be nice to have another guy on the team with a little fire. Earl Watson could show him how to harness it in a positive way, at Dirk.

  4. Guido says:

Our biggest problem right now is Harris. Not wish impossibles

  5. Matt says:

Yeah cuz im certain an NBA champion and Allstar is going to sit down and listen to Earl, a back up PG.

Rondos a headcase and it would behoove the Jazz to keep doing what they are doing and avoid poisening the locker room. Ala Mark Jackson.

I like having a respectable team that stays humble and has guys that want to play here. Not a PG that would bolt the first instant his contract was up forcing another Dwill situation. What we give for Rondo might not be as good as we get when we are pushed to trade him.

  6. Matt says:

Err what we get for rondo might not be as good as we give up is what I ment. I’d rather go with the knowing what we have instead of the coulda shoulda and get burned.

  7. S.F. says:

@ mark, if we are worried about getting burned all the time, let’s just play it safe and draft players from byu at least they will stay, right? Rondo may throw the occasional tantrum and get pissed off from time to time but the overwhelming majority of nba players, let alone all-stars, do. But, if what you say is true, Rondo wouldn’t be willing to learn from coaches or vets, I would not want him for that reason. If a guy is uncoachable, that is a problem. Even MJ was coachable. I just don’t think the fact that the guy threw a remote through a tv automatically makes him a headcase. Even with all the trade rumors Rondo hasn’t thrown tantrums or been a cancer to the team. I just don’t think a guy like that is a big cause for concern.

  8. Matt says:

    Well its Matt, not Mark.

Trading away potential good players to rent Rondo for 2 years is not my idea of a good trade. Where Rondo will up and leave for an LA, Miami, or other team ready to win a championship with not Allstar or below players, but teams with a superstar on the roster.

  9. S.F. says:

I guess I shouldn’t have been responding without looking at your name, my apologies. Trading away good players with shorter contracts for a player with a longer contract (Rondo’s contract is longer than either Sap’s or Jefferson’s). What’s to say he wouldn’t resign? He has already won a championship without being a leader, maybe he would want to be the leader. People with big egos usually want that kind of recognition. We probably aren’t going to be able to keep all 4 of our bigs anyway so we might as well get something for one of them, even if it is in the short-term.
