The Jazz fell apart down the stretch after coming from behind in a back and forth slug fest, dropping one in Houston. Patrick Patterson led the Rockets with 20 & 7, while Jeremy Lin and Chandler Parsons each scored 19, Lin also dishing out eight assists. James Harden had 18 & 7, Omer Asik had 14 & 12, while Greg Smith and Carlos Delfino each added 13 off the bench.
After the Jazz went on a 12-2 run to tie it at 107, they proceeded to give up wide open 3’s on the perimeter and And-1’s in the paint. Those easy points added up quickly for the Rockets, and the Jazz couldn’t respond.
Hayward led the Jazz with 21 points, while Jefferson had 20 & 8 and Foye finished with 20 & 6. Mo added 16 & 7, Millsap with 12 & 11, and Burks came off the bench to score 11.
The Jazz go 1-2 on the road trip, falling to 3-9 on the road and 9-9 overall.
Next up is the Clippers on Monday night back at ESA.
Jazz player of the game: Randy Foye
