Which probably means no Earl Watson. Hopefully it means no Ronnie Price. Unfortunately, Tinsley has awful percentages in all shooting categories over his career. What’s KOC thinking?

  2. JC Swan says:

Dumb! Dumb! Dumb! Dumb! Jamal Tinsley is washed up and is half the player Watson is, which isn’t saying much. But I would have rather had Watson back. Good move management.

  3. Matt says:

Just remember it takes two to tango, if Watson wanted to leave, management wouldnt have much to do with it. Maybe finding someone better then Tinsley. The Jazz can’t force Watson to stay.

  4. Zach says:

Watson had said the Jazz were still his top choice, with Atlanta in the mix. I think we could have gotten him if we had wanted to.

  5. KCJones says:

Hopefully Jamal Tinsley is replacing Ronnie Price and not Earl Watson

  6. Dave801 says:

Great pick up!!! Championship here we come!!!

  7. Paul Jensen says:

I am pretty sure KOC knows what he is doing. He is regarded by many as a top gm in the league. Besides i still bet watson is in the mix. maybe they just signed him just in case and for a really cheap price.

  8. Troy says:

    ………………………….. “face palm”

  9. I don’t get it either. But KOC is no idiot. So hopefully he sees something we don’t. Tinsley did have some great flashes in the League and is looking good in the D League but I don’t see how he is a better fit than Watson. Hopefully tomorrow we hear that Watson is signing as well and we carry 3 PG’s as usual. And with Harris’ track record of injuries it probably would be wise. The only thing I see is that Tinsley is a little more apt to score but his percentages are horrible so again I don’t get it. Funny, both played for Pacers.

  10. TACOREV says:

From what I heard, it’s not a guaranteed contract. He’ll come to camp and compete for a spot on the team. No problem with that. If he makes the team, it will most likely be in place of Price for the #3 PG spot

  11. Paul Jensen says:

Now it sounds like kieth mcloud

  12. A.G. says:

People! This doesn’t mean Watson wont be resigned. Reports say he is still in serious talks with the Jazz:

  13. A.G. says:

Tinsley could be Price’s replacement, which isn’t horrible.

  14. Patrick says:

Tinsley, until I see someone who matters tweeting it, I wouldn’t worry. Thought it was a joke when I first read your post, but here’s the link. Guess we shall see tomorrow. I cant believe there is no one else, are we actually that desperate? Or is there something under the surface yet to appear?

  15. JBrown says:

Jamaal Tinsley was good for one season, maybe a half. I sure hope they get Watson, and that this is only a tryout at camp. The Jazz should have been trying to sign Shannon Brown, who was reportedly signing with the Suns for 3.5M. Shannon could have been our starter, and Bell could have been amnestied. Brown would be an 100% upgrade over what Bell did last season.

  16. KCJones says:

I would have to agree that Brown would be an upgrade over Bell. But now we have CJ, Hayward, Burks and Bell who can all play the 2. I’m ok with that, I’d rather see Hayward + Burks develop than have Brown. (Bell can ride the pine, I’m over him)

  17. I love the Jazz, and most of the time I agree with their moves, but sometimes they frustrate the living crap out of me.

  18. J.C.2. says:

He must be pretty good. The only thing is no one knows how to spell his name. I wonder why………….
