Trade Comments from ESPN

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.I was watching NBA Coast to Coast pregame tonight with Michael Wilbon, Jalen Rose, and the infamous Bill Simmons. They were talking about possible trades they would like to see and to my surprise they brought up the Jazz. First Rose said he would like to see Bargnani and Calderon sent to Utah for Jefferson and Millsap. His reasoning is he believes the Jazz would be better with a better setup guy in Calderon. I like Calderon, but he’s 31 and defense isn’t exactly his strong suit. Bargnani would add some outside shooting but his defense and rebounding are below average. Personally I would pass on this one.The second trade they talked about was a three team trade that sent Millsap and Favors to Portland, Aldridge to the Wolves, and Kevin Love to the Jazz. Mainly because it is becoming more apparent that Love isn’t happy with the Wolves and Aldridge is no longer untouchable.Personally I love the idea of Kevin Love in Utah. Though I wouldn’t send Favors. I would send Burks and Kanter instead. Love and Favors would be amazing together especially with Love’s ability to shoot. And I actually think it is a trade that makes sense for everyone. Minnesota replaces an unhappy all-star with an all-star. Portland gets an all-star caliber player in Millsap that we all know they love along with two young pieces to help what may be the worst bench in basketball. The Jazz get their star and solve their logjam. And he’s only 24 so he can grow with our group.Anyway, just something to think about.

Kanter and Favors are legit. And you can find stretch 4’s for cheaper, ie. Novak, red rocket, Ryan Anderson. We need back court help that is an in prime star. So we need to move some of our gaurds with Al and Sap. I think that Favors and Kanter are ready, they need minutes. Lets get the right pieces around them.
Love is awful and he is extremely overrated. No way would I give up favors for no defense Kevin love. Are you serious??? Jazz need to keep their two young big men not trade them. God damn i’m sick of ESPN thinking the we will give up everything we have. We DONT need another PF in return. We need a point guard or picks
Id take the Raptors trade. Addition by subtraction
No way would I do the Toronto trade. The Jazz do not need to get weaker….and that’s exactly what we’d be with Bargnani. As for the three-team trade, if Favors’ injury is going to be a long-term issue, then I’d do it. If its manageable and he won’t miss many games because of it, then I wouldn’t do it.
Our greatest need right now is a pass-first point guard. I realize this doesn’t exist as much in the league anymore, but if the Jazz front office gets even a sniff that somebody like Rondo is on the market…we need to make a play.
Getting Love would be DWill all over again, no way. DWill probably talked to him at Olympics, just make it clear your not happy and theyll trade you.
I see the Love for Ebanks straight up trade happening soon.
WE NEED MORE VETERANS!!!!!!!!!
I say we trade Enes Kanter, Derrick Favors, Gordon Hayward and Alec Burks, for Grant Hill, Marcus Camby, Rasheed Wallace, and Kurt Thomas.
Can’t we have cake and eat it too? How do we get Kanter, Favors and Love AND a backup PG upgrade?
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ck3slmp This is the trade I would do with Toronto.
Then in a separate trade I would do this. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=co7c462
@KC: Is it a VETERAN cake?!?!
Corbin hopes so.
Trade and get picks… there is a guy in college right now that would be an amazing PG for the jazz to pick up while averaging 15 PPG hes getting 10.2 Assists or something like that
Michael Carter-Williams out of syracuse
