Meet
Paul Millsap, All-Star

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.On NBA.com, they are predicting the reserves for the West and East. Millsap was put in as a wildcard. I’m glad he finally gets the recognition he deserves. Al Jefferson was snubbed because of Millsap, but I’m sure he’ll have other All-Star games in the future. Now what about Jeremey Evans and the dunk contest? On another note, is the West starters, or LA? Andrew Bynum, really? Just goes to show how it’s a popularity contest.
Here’s the article on all the West reserves: http://www.nba.com/2012/allstar/2012/02/02/west-reserves/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt1
Comment below about what you think about the All-Star game this year.

Congrats Millsap! As for Jefferson not making it, what a joke. He has been outplaying ever center in the west all season.
Congrats to Milsap although the All-Star game is a joke. Did Iverson make it again this year? I think it was last year or a few years ago now that he did not even play much but somehow earned a starting spot. If Evans gets in the dunk contest I might watch but if not I will not be missing much.
I’m sorry to tell you this you need to read the article again. That is a prediction by one of the writers on nba.com. The article clearly states that the reserves will be announced next Thursday on TNT. Only the starters were announced today.
Whoops, I didn’t really read the intro, and just skimmed the names until I found Millsap! But either way, I’m sure Millsap will be an All-Star.
We need to trade Milsap so favors can take over! Favors is miles ahead of him in defense. I am so sick of watching Paul move out of the way when someone come down the lane.
I agree with paul to a point I wouldnt trade him yet but he needs to sit more and take notes from favors on d. He is a big piece of are team and can put the ball in the bucket so I wouldn’t trade him but after the clipper game I would throw paul and al on the bench and let favors and kanter show them how to play defence. Are bench bigs go in during the clipper game and, blake or jordan can’t even get a foot in the paint with out getting hit its great. Al played great put up points but paul and him didn’t do a thing on the other end. I would try it for a few games teach al and paul a lesson if you don’t play deffence you don’t play period. I wish corbin would do that with players that miss foul shots to but, are whole team can’t hit a faul shot at all
Some people have a lot to learn. Favors is showing sparks, but is not ready. I agree that he has the ability to start, he just isn’t taking it to that level yet. When he does, he will start. Same with Kanter.
First game against griffin Paul shut him down. I think SAP is wearing and that is why he has slumped a bit, but he still battles. The reason I point that out is because Favors slumps worse when he tires and he seems to wear down quicker than SAP.
Don’t base an opinion off one game, especially if you want the team to have a winning season.
im not basing this off one game sap shuts people down but slumps alot and I agree favor and kanter isn’t ready to start I just feel you need to throw them in for a few games just to show milsap and al that you need to play defence to. Because even though paul shuts them down some games other games he has trouble like anywhere. Favors and kanter cant start a full season or even a half season with little offencesive production and inconsistency. But everytime they are in nothing gets in the paint with out getting contested and I think paul and al need to learn how to do that on a everynight basis. Like kanter and favors have done so far so let paul and al come off the bench just for one or two games and let them figure out how they can do that
@ Paul Jensen: You have now won the award for the stupidest comment ever..
L.K. you clearly haven’t been on UJ360 enough if you think that’s the most stupid comment ever posted on here. It’s definitely pretty stupid, I’ll admit, but there are some posters around who consistently say even more idiotic things and compound their stupidity with a complete inability to actually form sentences or spell any words correctly.
What’s with everyone on here getting all ma d because of spelling and punctuation? I mean I understand if you can’t even read someones post but, if they don’t use periods or something you people jump on them and complain about it, even if they bring up good valid points. You guys can’t get passed the grammar, just figured I would ask why
@Trevor, because attempting to read one of your posts is like listening to a drunk high school cheerleader.
Paul Millsap is a beast, but in the past 5 games he has been playing well below his level. Particulaly in the last two games. Millsap shouldn’t have even been on the floor last night. Of course, then we’d be stuck with Favors who is an offensive liability (at this point).
I might be accused of jumping the gun, but I have not been impressed with Favors this season. I see raw talent, but no discipline. I see potential, but very little drive.
He’s still young, and has potential, but that’s all I see out of him right now.
Well what I say is at least readable and, I actually know what I’m talking about in my posts. I’m just saying what favors doesn’t do on offence he has been making it up on defence. During the clippier game he should have been in there during the fourth quarter milsap wasn’t performing at all. Ther team I coach kids get rewarded with time by how they play defence because im a firm believer in defence wins champions. It doesn’t take much talent to put the ball in the bucket but it takes a lot to keep it out on the other side. And milsap could guard aldridge and him and al was just flat out scared of blake and jordan. Im not 100 percent on favors now either but, credit half of his production to touches we have al and milsap of course the ball will go to them first. When you are a fourth or fifth option on the court you wont touch the ball enough to make much happen. I don’t see how we are all sold on kanter and not favors. It makes no sense at all, I enjoy watching them both play they have alot to work on andm both play very diffrent but, compliment each other very well.
My but we are testy. Everyone take a deep breath, a one and a two and a.
OK, Favors is by no means perfect, he has a lot to learn especially on the offensive end. I love the heart of milsap, and his offensive skill. But he sucks on d and its not because of lack of effort. watching the lakers game he defended pao perfect and it still was a barley contested shot. Its hard to defend when you immediately give up 5 -6 inches. And if you think favors has no drive your a fool. He doesnt get nearly enough touches in the post and its a shame.
