The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.We are pretty sure that Millsap and Jefferson will be traded before the February deadline, or we will lose them to free agency for nothing. How about this trade: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=9ystron
PG: Rondo, Williams, Foye, Tinsley
SG: Hayward, Burks, Foye, Murphy
SF: Williams, Carroll, Murphy
PF: Smith, Evans, Favors
C: Favors, Kanter

Looking at these trades at a very high level, meaning taking out the considerations of whether each player is a good fit for each team and contract-wise whether each team wants the money attached to each player, the hawks trade works, but the celtics trade does not. Millsap and Bell for Rondo would never happen. And I mean never.
One of the top 5 pg’s in the league for an undersized pf, who you already have now in a younger Jared Sullinger? Even without Sullinger, Millsap is not enough for Rondo ESPECIALLY including a cancer like Bell. It’s not even close to reality. However, the hawks trade I can see happening, not taking into consideration any of the above factors, however.
I can see the locker room blowing up completely with Josh Smith… He just doesn’t seem like he would mesh with our team at all… A very high volume shooter (even more so than Al). You put Marvin Williams in the exact same spot as last year behind Smith. The game becomes 1-on-1.
Rondo… I am not sold on Rondo. Let’s look at his season this year with out Ray Allen to spread the floor like previous years. You shouldn’t pay that much for a guard either… You also have 3 years on that contract. Do you put Mo Williams on the bench again?
How about this?

@Stephen:
Love it, but again, it won’t happen. Irving is, after his first year arguably a top 10 pg in the nba. He’s just getting started. He did come from a weak draft, but he is heads and shoulders above everyone else who was drafted, at least, right now. He will be a top 5 pg in the game in the next few years, if not this year.
Yes, bigs are generally more valuable than pg’s, but that logic is impossible to stretch out to this trade. It woould never happen.
Favors as a 3rd pf… omg weed is good….
@Guido
I love Favors too but he can’t start at Center AND Power Forward
sucess!!! LOL
