The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.So 3 games into the season and what was looking like a shaky start did a complete 180 degree turn last night. Seeing the number of assist and how many players reaching upper teens and 20 point scoring was an incredible sight to see. Most people I have spoken with who watched the game all had the same observation; the offense finally clicked and they are starting to gel. Even though it’s only one game I completely agree. Our offense was clicking and the chemistry looked great. However I was actually paying attention to how we were around the basket and in the post. For the last 3 years the Lakers have picked us apart down low in the post due to their size. But after watching how AJ and Paul handled the front court last night I have been given some hope that we are not going to be man handled down low anymore. I watched the game on NBA TV last night and one of the comments by the commentators was how long The Jazz were now. This is actually something we have never had in the recent years. Between Paul and Big Al we had 26 rebounds and even though AK didn’t have many rebounds or defensive numbers on the box score, he actually made several impacts on the defensive end due to his leangth. To boot we have not even really seen the impact Elson, Fesenko and don’t forget about Memo when he returns. Bottom line, we are one of the biggest teams in the league now. Completely different look from our recent years in the playoffs. Now if we could just improve our outside shooting and get it at least to the level we had last year I think we have a real chance to make a run for the Western Conference Finals this year.
Does anyone else out there agree? Let me know what you think…..

I am interested to see how the Jazz finish games this year. Are they going to step on necks… or give friendly back rubs? One thing L.A. always does well is kicking the guy while he’s down. Running the offense, hitting threes, and putting down big dunks when your up 20 in the third is actually a sign of a tittle contending team. It’s easy to just slosh around and take jacked shots.
To stepping on necks… cheers!
Jazz definitely need to step on some necks
After reading the title I thought this post was gonna be about me. haha just kidding. But seriously it was a hot game. When I saw the schedule I was thinking this would be the first game we would lose, not win. Anyways Im happy again and expect the Jazz to be up to a 4-2 record in a week.
step on necks and collect checks…LOL
