Meet
Lockout to Help Sales

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.I hear everywhere that the NBA can not afford to be in a lockout. That it will loose fans or ticket sales will go down. While I think the best scenario would be to play a full season with a good CBA, the worse thing would have been if changes were not made… Hear me out!
I was the first to be upset when the lockout started canceling games. I as much as everyone LOVE my Jazz games and I wanted to be front row in the ESA. Every day weather with my friends or at work I would hear people saying “I am sick of this, greedy [censored word]!” I myself at times said out loud that I was not going to go to any games this year cause I was upset… Then something happened and I realized that no matter what us Jazz fans are going to be there through thick and thin. They had a exhibition game for charity and I was so excited to go see some basketball even if it was not competitive. It was then that I realized that no matter what I was going to be there when ever the league started back up and would be cheering on this new look Jazz team.
I think as a small market team the Utah Jazz had been doing a great job and being competitive… But the past year it seemed as though even they were in jeopardy of the league changing and all big names going to big markets. Sure the new CBA doesnt stop this, but it still gives us a hope that we will remain competitive in the near future to come. With a great core of players and a very large growth potential. I for one am glad the Jazz are back and even more excited to see the future and what it holds. And I will be there front row cheering them on!

I think it helps that our team is young and nobody on the roster is really complaining about money
