I know your sick of seeing these but i like doing them and most of them are realistic

Since the kings are making Tyreke Evans available i thought about this trade

Maybe we could get kemba? And a good scorer in Gordon

Maybe try and get Calderon or even Lowry?

I’m a fan of going after Tyreke if he would commit to the “team first” Utah basketball.

The kings have made it clear that they are trying to build around Jimmer and DMC, as bizzare as it sounds.

The 1st trade you mention is awful for SAC. They take 2 players past their time, and a hurt Mo Williams who would probably jet when the season ended. No way they do that one.

I think the 2nd trade could work with a tweak. I think the Jazz would have to take Travis Outlaw instead of Jimmer to get the Kings to agree.

The more I watch Calderon, the more I think he would be the best for the young guys to develop. He is a great facilitator and would really get the young guys easy shots to help their confidence. Reminds me of Tinsley a bit but is superior athletically and scoring-wise.

I could see Toronto agreeing to that trade for him if Millsap agreed to resign. The Lowry one is pretty unreasonable from Toronto’s view.

I think the Jazz FO would prefer Calderon over Evans. I wonder if they are just considering signing him in the offseason though.

Also have to remember that these guys are human. Millsap has been the face of the franchise the last couple years and nothing but a great guy. I wouldn’t want management to ship him off to a place like Sacramento.

    Good input by the way.

    I like Kemba

Id take that Al for Gordon and Kemba in a heartbeat. I think Gordon has a player option so his 12M might come off books at the end of the year.

There would be a logjam at the SG position, but I figure if Favors gets a lot of time st the C spot, give Marvin some stretch 4 minutes, Hayward at the SF more minutes, cut Foye minutes some, and Burks can still get PT. As it stands Burks is gonna get DNPs playing behind Watson (?! Of all ppl) and Foye when Mo comes back.

  4. ST Spalding says:

Why is Foye never part of these trades? He is a low cost asset for a contender.

The only one of those trades with the slightest chance would be Calderon for Millsap. Toxic Raga probably kills it.

  6. I love trades for Calderon. He’s a great player who makes our team better right now and in the future. I say in the future because he’s a pass first point guard who averages almost 8 assists a night which would excellerate the growth of our young bigs, Favors and Kanter.

Atlanta are struggling their way through a bad patch and want to leave as much cap space as possible for the summer. Toronto are Toronto.

So why not trade Al Jefferson for Al Horford. He’s $3m dollars cheaper. He doesn’t score as much as Al but he is interchangeable at the C/PF position. He can play either role while we decide what position is best for Favors to develop. With him scoring less than Jefferson but still being a decent scorer nonetheless there may be an opportunity for Favors and Kanter to get a few extra minutes for them to develop their offensive game, without the Jazz losing too much offense in the process of trading Jefferson. In the meantime we can keep Paul until the end of the season before seeing which position suits Horford best within the team. Depending on how it works out with Horford in the team and how he blends with Favors and Kanter, we could have something to trade in the summer and keep Paul on, or let Pauls contract expire and move to pastures new.

The second part of the trade is an expiring Calderon in exchange for dumping Raja and Watson on Toronto. That would give us decent cover at PG between now and the end of the season and carry us through Mo Williams injury. He may not be the long term answer at PG for the Jazz but having him here until the summer allows us the option of seeing how he plays in Utah if nothing better offers itself in the summer we keep him secure in the knowledge that we at least we have a better PG than currently.
