You really need to get out from underneath that rock. This is old news that has been hashed over and over..

  2. Justin says:

Thanks LK, I didn’t realize I was underneath a rock.

  3. I wonder what this will do as far as his production is concerned? Will it inspire him to become the type of PG we need to succeed or will he give up and hope LA or some other good team picks him up?

He made mention that he wants to stay and play with these guys and believes in what the vision of the team is. I think he is a high character guy and enjoy listening to his mature responses in media interviews.

Maybe the front office is playing hard ball to see if he will perform. It worked by starting Favors over Millsap and substituting Burks for CJ to start the season off. Time will tell. If they trade him away, lets hope we get a replacement that will benefit the development of the team

I don’t know that he will. He has been taking shots (against the Mavs for example, he just didn’t hit any. 0-7 2pters, 0-3 3pters.)

I’ve always thought that he was an okay to pretty decent player, its just that his game doesn’t fit well here.

The issue is that he’s a taller ronnie price (just not as athletic). He’s fast, and he scores. The Jazz need a facilitator. We value a pass-first type of guard that can figure how how to get his own shots at the right time, but that would put the team in motion/get them involved.

Stockton did that, D-Will did that. Earl Watson does that. This is why Earl has been eating up at his time.

As the season has gone on, Devin has just looked more and more lost/frustrated as to how he can fit his game into the Jazz system.

He could go to some eastern team that doesn’t have a strong offensive system, and probably do okay.

Oh, and you’re comment about favors over milsap and the CJ one are valid. Those guys are fired up and playing well. Even raja (the approach was different – Ty tried to give him confidence by sticking with him) has played a bit better in the last 4 – 5 games or so.

@Justin: I am sorry for being a rude old man. I have now had my “wake me up” and am fine. Thanks for taking the time to post your views. But if everyone could remember to be patient. And please quit throwing things at your TV screen.
