Trade rumors have no credibility.

The author's views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of the Utah Jazz.Look guys don’t pay to much attention to what you hear when it comes to trade rumors, these people create !@#$% storms of craziness everytime they write an article, they get paid every single time you click on there page, so writing a trade article involving Big Al with San Antonio is a good way to grab readers attention. I’m not going to get my Boxers Briefs in a bundle over it like most of you will. but one thing I know for sure is that if the Jazz do trade Big Al over Millsap I’ll be deeply saddened, considering Big Al’s numbers are way better than little Millsaps and he is our key GO TO player on the Jazz. I swear all those who want Al traded are just ridiculous, stupid, ignorant Jazz fans… They are the type of fans that think Jimmer Fredette would be a good fit in Utah.. SMDH! Wake up clowns Jefferson is the best player on the team! Set you petty arguments aside and look at his numbers, use your head and realize that Millsap is the one who is inconsistent and doesn’t produce, and show up night after night.. Leave you man crush at home and approach the business side of things. If Jefferson goes, so does Utah’s future! THE END

I don’t buy this trade between San Antonio and the Spurs, two of the most secretive teams. For me its all speculation based on the relationship between the two teams and past employment of some key people in the organizations.
That said I don’t think Al is the best player. He might be the highest scoring but he is by no means the most efficient. Having him he takes time off the shot clock and touches away from those who work the floor with him. He is a liability in defense. In the 3 seasons he has been in the lineup the Jazz have been losing the vast majority of first quarters. Would the Jazz miss his points? Of course. Would the Jazz struggle in the clutch? Possibly. However the Jazz would probably have a more balanced offense and defense if he wasn’t such a big part in the team, and his $15m could probably go some where to making this team better in his absence.
Over the past in the games AL has missed the Jazz have done just fine. Long term I feel would be the same way.
Al’s numbers wouldn’t appear so good if they included stats like ‘defended rim’, or ‘rotated correctly on defense’ or ‘boxed out’.
“If Jefferson goes, so does Utah’s future!”
I agree, if we trade Jefferson our future of complete mediocrity will go with him, so then we can finally develop into a contender.
Is there a way to start banning people from posting such idiotic statements? Between this and the fire corbin rant somebody else did you guys should never be allowed to post again.
“Big Al over little Millsap” LMAO… I hope your kidding.
WOW… Worst post ever! Do you really actually beleive thas BS? Jefferson is bad defensively, inefficient, and makes the offense bomb when he is in. The 2 guys behind him are way more motivated, athletic, and talented. If he is not traded I will be pissed!!! Take your blinders off! This post is a joke.
I agree with Derek. The Prefessional is a tool. Jefferson being our go to guy is the problem. He plays no defense, and he doesn’t shoot as well as he should. In order to win a championship, you either have to do a lot of things well, or one or two things the best. Jefferson fits into neither of these categories.
I dare say the majority of people who post on here clearly know more than you do about the Jazz and this game. But you’re the most vocal thinking you know more. I feel for you dawg. Maybe a word of advice would be to take a step back, punch yourself in the mouth, spit out the loose teeth and then try to actually understand the game before you insult a bunch of people who are more intelligent than yourself.
I have always liked AL. But I would agree with the problems he has. If he could be resigned for around 26 mill for four years as a backup player would be fine. But there are other teams he would fit in just fine and he can make some more big bucks. As I say I like him but without him I don’t see the Jazz missing a beat..
@LK – you are right. Al could do wonders for a team like the Charlotte Lolcats, or any number of lower tier teams, especially in the East.
haha! Al Jefferson is the best player on the Jazz? …pretty much what everyone else said, this post is ridiculous. I like Al well enough but there are major holes in his game, defensive rotations, energy, rebounding, contesting shots, passing out of double teams, drawing fouls … Favors and Kanter are the future of the Jazz, and it is bright
I dont mind talking about trades and how I feel it would affect our team. I enjoy it actually, its fun talking about trades and the possibilities that are out there.. But I dont put anything into rumors until its reported by Adrian Wojnorwoski.. that guy reports nothing but concrete stuff.. haha
Okay, I’m not the biggest Jefferson fan either, but he has some skills that are undeniable. He is THE most effective offensive player in the NBA late in games. Its just a statistical fact people. Has has become a lot better at passing out of a double team, he’s getting more assists/gm this year. I haven’t seen Kanter or Favors make these passes yet. Also, he is becoming a great free throw shooter. I don’t have the numbers in front of me but he’s gotta be having a career year from the charity stripe. That being said we all know the flip side of all this, and Iwould trade him in a second for just about anything. But don’t be surprised Jazz fans if this team takes 1 step back before taking 2 steps forward if he is traded.
I am speechless! I can’t even engage in this post. It’s just absurd. This person must be a lakers fan.
The only thing I agree with is the title of this post, you should have stopped with that.
@mtnman801
Most people here would agree that Al is having a good year. I like him a lot. I enjoy his personality and I am happy he’s on the team. But I also know that we aren’t going to win long term, if our offense goes through him. It’s not that he isn’t a talented player. In fact, he’s probably the best Center we’ve ever had. The problem is, we have other guys who can score, we need a guy who will defend in the paint and help us win games. Of all the things Al does well, his defense trumps everything else.
Also, I love the 11 one-star votes. That’s probably the worst i’ve ever seen anyone get on a post
